About This Book
Why We Continue follows the years between closure and renewal.
When the original gallery closed during the pandemic, the physical space disappeared, but the relationships and ideas behind it did not. Work continued through conversations, remote collaboration and cultural exchange with artists and partners in Vietnam and Europe.
In 2022, international collaborations created new opportunities for Vietnamese artists and renewed the belief that cultural exchange could remain meaningful even when people were separated by distance.
By 2024, VNCE returned to Da Nang with a new structure. The organisation reopened through B&P – Art For Children and Trà Nôm, bringing children’s creativity, community participation and a sustainable support model into one shared place.
This book is not simply a record of reopening. It is a reflection on why the work remained worth continuing.
